Over the past week in the new year of art, we have been deciding our subject matter and themes. I have decided to focus my artboards this year on stereotyping and mistreatment of mentally ill people, specifically focusing on the autism spectrum. I chose this because I am an autistic person and I notice the things people say and assume about us.
This is my mood board of the artists in my area of work, painting. These are all under the 'equality' umbrella. The artists I'm using for my inspiration are Frida Kahlo, Miriam Schapiro, and Shane Cotton.
